Experience
Teaching and research focuses on land use-water resource issues including watershed management, soil and water pollution, non-point source pollution and the application of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in land evaluation, watershed management and environmental assessment.

Sandra Brown Vancouver, BC, Canada

Current position Research Associate,
Faculty of Land and Food Systems, The University of British Columbia.
Dr. Sandra Brown received her PhD from UBC in 1996 in Interdisciplinary Studies and completed a Post Doc with the International Development Research Centre. She was a research associate with IRES from 1998 to 2007, and was outpost on a joint appointment with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Colombia from 2002-2006. She is currently a research associate in the Soil-Water Environmental Group at the Faculty of Land and Food Systems.
Sandra’s research focuses on water availability, incorporating use and quality, impacts of climate and land use change, and headwater catchments. Her work aims to link science with decision making, and positively contribute to programs on watershed management at multiple scales.
